Guess My Age:

Mr. James is the oldest man living in Smalltown. The children in his neighborhood like to try to guess his age. One day, Mr. James tells the children that 2 years less than his age is at least as much as the number of cents in 9 dimes and 2 pennies.

1)What are some of the possible ages that Mr. James could be? Plot your answer(s) on a number on the number line. Explain why you choose the ages that you did.

2) Write an inequality that represents Mr. James’ age. What is the youngest the Mr. James can be?
